H2NODES: AIM


  • Ensuring continuity and growth at new hydrogen refuelling station HRS sites in Arhem, Riga and Pärnu, building strong local activity, a positive dynamic and rising numbers of FCEVs along the TEN-T corridors
  • An innovative technical solution where traction is provided by an electric motor using electricity and hydrogen as an energy carrier for transportation, with a focus on public transport, thus developing multi-modal transportation system, optimising the existing bus and trolleybus route network, promoting public transport and reducing GHGH local pollution

An urban area where the transport infrastructure of the trans - European transport network, such as ports including passenger terminals, airports, railway stations, logistics platforms and freight terminals located in and around an urban area, is connected with other parts of that infrastructure and with the infrastructure for regional and local traffic

H2Nodes long-term objectives:

  • Public transport will be the main mobility solution for people in urban areas. Optimise and promote the most efficient and clean technologies
  • Energy efficient - multi-modal transport solutions. Improve energy efficiency of vehicles using hydrogen
  • Technological innovation - vehicles energy efficiency improvement by implementing new alternative fuels using innovative new power trains

  • Zero emission transport – sustainable hydrogen at competitive prices to improve air quality and reduce greenhouse gases
